The study was structured around four main questions aimed at illustrating the differences between robots in the service sector and the industrial sector.

Research Questions:

What characterizes the story of industrial robots, including their main drivers and developmental trends?

How has the spread of robots operating in the service sector evolved over the past decade, what characteristics do they share with industrial robots, and in what ways do they differ from them?

What role do young startups play in the history of robots employed in the service sector?

What policy challenges do we face in two different robotic stories?

The study points out that robots born and operating in these two sectors follow such divergent developmental trajectories and face various impacts and challenges. Furthermore, it also elucidates why the policy challenges differ between robots operating in these two distinct sectors.
